Final Photo
This is my final photo of my 3D printed model. I tried to get it as transparent as possible without it getting too fragile. I lit up the bottom of the model so that the light could pass through and give a glowing effect and also really emphasize the smaller ball inside. If you look closely you can see patterns on the outside which give the model a funny texture.
Render of Three models
This is my render which shows my final model and two others. I gave the final model a glossy wood texture and the one on the left a glass texture so that you could see the ball better. The one on the right I gave another glass texture to give some reflection and a sense of delicacy.
Final Chosen model and initial render
This is the model I have chosen for my final and just an initial render I did, giving it a wood material because I liked the idea of a robust, sturdy material for it. The material is likely to change though to a better looking wood texture.
Development
I have been using a series of stretches, bending and twisting to develop a shape I am happy with. The last model is the one I have chosen for my final because it is much more interesting than my initial model, it is a lot more complex than it was and still retains the intial concept of the ball in the center.
More Precedent Images and sketches
With my precedents I wanted a pattern that was very organic and sort of abstract so I tried using patterns off animals and leaf patterns. I still wanted to keep the ball concept because I liked the idea of having a smaller ball inside of a larger one as you can see from my sketches.
