Final render

So for my material I decided to use this picture:
I reduced the size of the image and repeated it all over the object to give it a sort of spotted texture. I used the same image to give it more depth by making the surface bumpy and then offsetting the material to really emphasize that it had a bumpy surface.
Because it looks like a flower I decided to make some dirt and then apply some hair to the dirt which made it look like grass. I used this image for the dirt:
I then added a background to really give the effect that it was a flower in the middle of a field tucked away in the grass almost hidden from view.this was the image:
This is what the final render of just the model looks like:

And this is what the final render looks like with all of the iterations:

Overall I'm happy with how it has turned out, I like the way that some of the other models rest in the ground and look like smaller flowers and how some models look as if they're birds flying in the sky.

Final Iteration

So this is the final iteration I have chosen to make into my final model for rendering. It matches my three words, It is round, parts of it are repetitive, and it has a very organic, free flowing form. It looks a lot like a flower aswell so I might incorporate a flower material onto the object.

Iterations

These are my 81 Iterations I made using my intial model. I used a series of twists and symmetry to get a lot of the shapes. I tried to keep my objects very organic and smooth which is evident in the images above. All of my iterations relate back to the three words that I chose which were Repetition, Round and Organic.

Here are some of the iterations I picked out as being some of my main models that I branched off and created new models from these:

Solid works model

Here is the final model I managed to create in Solid works. It matches my three words, it is round, repetitive and also fairly organic. I will now take this model to 3DS Max and create 81 iterations.

Initial Picture and 3 words

So this is the picture I am going to use to make my object. I like it because it has a lot of curves and layers, but it also repeats it's shape throughout the image.
My three words for this are:
Organic- because it has no straight lines and looks as if it is free to move around.
Repetition- because the shape repeats itself
Round- because the shapes are round.

I like this picture because a flower is very organic and is generally round which incorporates my three words. I might use this concept in my iterations.

Here are a couple of sketches I did in my notebook. These are a few initial ideas I was having about my designs, but I will probably change them:

These are some tutorials I did on the solidworks program. The candlestick turned out great but the hammer head didn't. I liked the new look of the hammer head, it was kind of cool. These were fairly easy to make aswell.
